Our History
Rome (Italy) 1965, Alberto, a young man from Abruzzo in search of fortune in the big city takes a decision that will radically change his life and that of his family.
In the following 10 years, Alberto collects
successes and satisfactions and, at the end of this experience,
decides to leave, with his family to which the second son Paolo has been added,
for a new adventure more on a human scale.
He then moved to Magliano (Rieti), in the heart of the charming Sabina
where, in addition to a store in the historic center,
he opened an industrial activity specialized in slaughtering,
processing and wholesale of fine meats,
with the business name of GE.BA Carni S.r.L..
The family, an important value

In the 90’s, first the son Massimiliano and later the youger son Paolo are engaged in the Company and the Father decides to introduce the commercialization of the until then unknown Arrosticino di Pecora(Sheep meat skewer).culinary speciality of the Abruzzo region, on Rome and all the Lazio. It is a sudden success : the tasting of the ‘Rustelli’ (sheep meat skewers) instantly demolishes the initial distrust of the Restaurateurs; in a few years, thanks to the trust granted by the first historical Clients, the Arrosticino di pecora conquers the palates of the eternal city .

In the mid-2000s the great leap from marketing to production, through proprietary laboratories, succeeding in supplying ever more fresh and genuine products. Procuring the recognized best raw materials for years,every day thousands of Arrosticini depart from the production laboratories of the Genovese family’s company for the best restaurants in Rome and Lazio.
